One of the most popular recent series features sports agent MYRON BOLITAR.
Nope, he's not a private eye in the traditional sense, but in the act of

This is the seventh Myron Bolitar novel, and at last they're receiving

hat's drop to switch from the standard English of his 'educated' characters
to the low-life's limited and repetitive argot, and his writing is witty,
intelligent and very entertaining. Myron, once a notable basketball player
but badly injured in a freak accident, and Windsor Horn Lockwood III, a
patrician investment banker, are at first sight unlikely friends, but since
